Edgewood Roofing, With Neighbors Across Northern Kentucky

Our crews look after roofs, gutters and siding on homes in Edgewood and throughout northern Kentucky, from a single leak to a full replacement or storm damage repair. After each visit you get a plain account of what we saw on your home and the choices in front of you.

Towns We Serve in Northern Kentucky

Most of our work is a short drive from Edgewood. We work on homes in Crestview Hills, Lakeside Park, Fort Mitchell and Villa Hills, and just as often in Erlanger, Elsmere, Florence, Independence, Taylor Mill and Covington. If your town sits close by but is not on that list, ask when you call. The answer is usually yes.

Wherever your home sits, the process does not change. The first visit is a free inspection. We photograph the problem areas, sit down with you to go over the pictures, and only then talk about cost. You learn what is wearing out, why it matters, and whether a repair or a new roof is the better fit. Each estimate lists the work line by line, which makes it easy to lay beside another bid.

What Holds True for Roofs Across the Area

  • Housing age

Homes here cover a wide span of years. In the older parts of the area you find steep roofs, several old layers of shingles and chimneys patched more than once. Newer subdivisions lean toward ranches and two-story homes with asphalt shingles. We count the layers and check the decking, because both change what a replacement involves and what it costs.

  • Freeze and thaw

Winters here swing above and below freezing, sometimes in a single day. Snow melts, refreezes at the eaves and can back up under shingles as an ice dam. Ice and water shield along the eaves, steady attic ventilation and clear gutters help most, and we look at each one.

  • Spring and summer storms

Thunderstorms bring strong wind and sometimes hail. Wind lifts shingle tabs and breaks the seal strip underneath; hail bruises the surface and knocks granules loose. Much of this is hard to see from the yard, so we photograph it up close and explain what it means for your roof and for an insurance claim, without acting as your adjuster.

  • Permits and associations

Permit rules differ from one city to the next. Some ask for a permit on a full reroof, while small repairs often need none. We check with the building office for your town, pull the permit when one is required, and tell you if an inspection will follow. If your neighborhood association has color or material rules, we can give you the shingle details they ask for.

  • Gutters and siding

Mature trees shade many streets, and every fall leaves fill gutters. Overflow soaks fascia boards and the siding below, so we check both while we are up there.
